Shoshana’s mission is to inspire and guide people to live their most fulfilling life by reducing stress, cultivating joy, and developing sustainable wellness habits. She believes in an integrative approach to well-being that is rooted in ancient wisdom, personal insight, as well as evidence-based practices and interventions. Her approach is individualized and flexible, based on the understanding that we must design a path for ourselves that meets us where we are now so we can get where we want to go.
SHOSHANA’S BIO
Shoshana Silverman Belisle, PhD, LMSW, MA, RYT500, NBC-HWC, is a wellness practitioner, scholar, and ambassador committed to the study, practice, and advancement of evidence-based integrative mental health and wellness practices.
Shoshana’s integrative approach to well-being combines ancient wisdom with evidence-based strategies. Her work is influenced by her lifelong commitment to scholarship and exploration in psychology, psychotherapy, mind-body medicine, holistic health, integrative medicine, nutrition, fitness, yoga, spirituality, and wellness.
Shoshana holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master’s in Social Work from New York University, and a Master’s in Psychology from the Spirituality Mind-Body Institute at Columbia University's Teachers College. Shoshana recently completed her PhD in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University with a specialization in Integrative Mental Health. Her dissertation research focuses on how wellness coaches support their clients’ mental well-being. She is also certified as a yoga teacher (Lotus Flow University, Myriad Yoga) and holistic health coach (Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Real Balance Global Wellness).
Shoshana is passionate about contributing to the rapidly expanding field of integrative mental health and wellness, and has served as a researcher, mind-body therapist, development officer, and program developer. She has also helped author several peer-reviewed publications on integrative medicine topics. She previously served as an Integrative Wellness Coach for Namaste Wellness and offered integrative psychotherapy services through Mind Body Seven, a holistic mental health practice in Brooklyn, NY. Shoshana continues to offer yoga instruction, wellness coaching, and evidence-based content development through Flexy Wellness, LLC.
